What Is It All About?
The mission of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to promote equality and unity of all students throughout the campus communities by advocating for a socially just campus climate that recognizes the value of all our humanity. In addition, we pledge to be inclusive and ignite the intellectual, and philanthropic ambitions of our members.

The intended purpose of Black Student Union as an organization is to promote the unity of African American students and the diversity of students across the Augusta University campus. We want this organization to be a medium for students to gather & be able to talk about issues that effect us as the African American community, while being able to connect and network with students who have similar interests.

BSU coordinates social and educational events throughout the academic year, and encourages leadership, dedication, educational success, and unity for its members and the university community.
